From the Teacher's Desk: Say Something Nice
Did you know? January 24th is national compliment day.
It's great to have a theme and focus day, however anytime of the year is the right time to say something nice. Promote being positive and grateful - both the giver and receiver will enjoy the benefits of a compliment.
Benefits that compliments provide:
- Teach kindness
- Make people happy
- Build trust
- They're free and make people smile

Classroom Activity: Animal Pockets
 This animal pocket is as unique as each student who makes it!
Complement the compliment exercise with this craft project.
Post the pockets within student reach and encourage children to write and deliver positive messages to their classmates.
Use for Valentine's Day messages too.
